Vania Hardy’s “Trees of Life” series contains original ink & watercolor pieces depicting individual trees growing from human hearts, showcasing their unique bark and root systems.

For a variety of reasons, we don’t all resonate with the same tree. Some are drawn to warm colors over cool, tall trees over short, fruits over nuts. That itself is the thesis of the series: the beauty of our individuality and the recognition of different seasons of life. There is no such thing as a useless tree; each one grows for a reason and has something unique to contribute to the earth’s ecosystem.

The show will be part of Lebanon’s First Friday on October 7 from 5-9pm at Sydney Roasting Company (720 Quentin Rd, Ste 3, Lebanon, PA 17042).
