Criteria & Procedures for Events Calendar

Criteria:
Event submissions must be proposed by a current member in good standing.The event in question must directly include the member proposing it for inclusion on our website. Events must be art related and link easily to Poiema Visual Arts’ “Big Three”: discipleship, education, or community.Poiema Visual Arts has the right and ability to reject the inclusion of any event that knowingly contradicts our statement of faith, community values, or appears arbitrarily divisive.  Submissions that take place on the same day as a previously scheduled Poiema Visual Arts’ sponsored event will not be listed.


Procedures:
All events must be submitted in writing (by emailing hello@poiemavisualarts.org) at least three (3) weeks in advance of the date they are requested to appear on Poiema Visual Arts’ website. Members may submit up to three (3) events for website inclusion per year. Please make sure that your information is correct at the time of submitting it. Due to limited volunteer staff, we cannot promise to make changes at a later date. Poiema Visual Arts has the right to forgo promotion of an event if at any point unknown information that could prove detrimental to the reputation of the ministry becomes apparent. 

A disclaimer statement will be included on each external listing:“This event is not associated with Poiema Visual Arts. We are providing this listing to promote a member of our Poiema Visual Arts family and for general informational purposes only. Poiema Visual Arts makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, and cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or any other unexpected outcome associated with this event.”


Misc. Considerations:
Submitting an event for Poiema Visual Arts’ Event Calendar does not necessarily mean that it will be promoted on social media. Each event will be considered on a case-to-case basis depending on how relevant it is to the community, the schedule of ministry content, and the availability of ministry staff. If for some reason, you would prefer for your event not to be promoted on social media, please let us know at the time of submitting your information.

  • Name of Event

  • Your Name

  • Website

  • Location/ Address

  • Main Contact Information for the Public

  • Description (Include how to RSVP and cost)

  • Date of the Event

  • Date to Begin Promotion (at least 3 weeks from submission)
